A marketing term, not one procedure
A “Hollywood smile” can refer to very different combinations of whitening, bonding, orthodontics, veneers, or crowns. The name does not define what should happen to your teeth.
Decide what you want to change
Separate concerns about color, position, shape, gum display, and damaged restorations. A dentist can then explain which options address each concern and how much tooth tissue they require.
Protect healthy structure
Whitening may address color, orthodontics may address position, and additive bonding may alter selected shapes. Veneers or crowns may be appropriate in some cases, but a full set should not be the automatic starting point.
Before you agree
Ask to see a written plan, the teeth involved, the intended shade, a mock-up where useful, expected maintenance, and alternatives. Discuss future replacement costs and how teeth will be protected if you grind.
Will the preview match the result?
A preview helps communicate a goal. It cannot guarantee identical color, gum contours, or long-term performance. A result should suit your face, speech, and oral health—not imitate someone else's photograph.
