Build an object layer by layer

Dental 3D printing can produce models and selected appliances or restorations using a material and process intended for that specific purpose.

A model is not the same as a mouth-contact device

A resin suitable for a study model is not automatically suitable for a surgical guide, denture base, or definitive restoration. The material, printer, post-processing, and intended use must be compatible.

The steps after printing matter

Cleaning, curing, finishing, and any required disinfection or sterilization are part of the validated workflow. An object that looks finished may still be unsuitable for clinical use if these steps are incorrect.

Where it fits your care

Ask what is being printed, whether it is temporary or definitive, and how fit is checked. Printing can support a treatment plan; it does not remove the need for diagnosis, trials, or follow-up.
